BBO--HALL OF FAME-CHARACTER CONCERNS
The results of the 2021 Hall of Fame vote will be announced Tuesday, and some voters are finding the task particularly agonizing this time around. FBN- -JIM LITKE COLUMN-MAHOMES CONCUSSION
A week after a brain-rattling hit knocked Patrick Mahomes out of a game, the Chiefs star quarterback has been cleared to play Sunday's AFC Championship against the Bills. The NFL and its players have been clear-eyed about the long-term dangers from concussions for a decade or so, but the week-to-week decisions still rely on inexact science and remain in the players' hands. "When you're in the moment, and you're young, you're bulletproof, man. But I'm 51 years old," quarterbacking great Brett Favre said, "and I'm wondering what tomorrow will bring, because of concussions more than anything." By Jim Litke. UPCOMING: 780 words, photos.

DALLAS - Joe Pavelski had two goals and two assists and Alexander Radulov also scored twice, helping Dallas beat the Nashville Predators 7-0 in the Stars' delayed season opener.
